To the Woman Going Through a Divorce

You didn’t plan for this.
Maybe you fought for that marriage.
Maybe you stayed too long.
Maybe you left too soon.
Maybe you still wonder if you could have saved it.

But you are here now.

And whether you feel relief, rage, grief, guilt—or all of it at once— this letter is your permission to feel it all.

You are not a failure.
You are not broken.
You are not “too much” for love.

The end of a marriage is not the end of you.

It is the closing of a chapter you never thought would end. It is the death of a shared dream.
It is a thousand tiny losses: shared routines, a name, a rhythm, a version of yourself you once believed in.

And it is also—eventually—rebirth.

You are allowed to grieve.
You are allowed to breathe easier.
You are allowed to miss him. Or not.
You are allowed to start over, even if your hands are still shaking.

This place was not built for the polished or perfect.

It was built for you.

You, who woke up alone and kept going.
You, who carried the groceries and the heartbreak.
You, who lit a candle and said goodbye to a life you thought would last.

You are not behind.
You are not unworthy.
You are becoming—fierce and soft and free.

Come sit by the fire.
You don’t have to be okay yet.
You just have to be here.

We’ve been waiting for you.
